Kitchen, designed by Bontempi Omnia

We all know kitchen is referred the heart of a home. The new approach to a modern kitchen these days are to have a sleek surface and minimalist cupboards. This Kitchen designed by Bontempi Omnia, would be a fabulous area to entertain your guest, but a space such as this would only suit you if you are a couple or a small family.

Manufactured by majestic-gemstone.com, using selective raw material to create a custom made slab for a decorative interior feature.

This Kitchen is a great solution for a small interior space.

each individual component can be separated and then pushed together, which creates a single unit. This creates additional free space for the interior.

Enhance your interior space using tiles created by Okhyo, using digital printing on ceramic tiles. I love the additional spark which can be brought into the kitchen. This tiled mural image can be personalized according to your preferences and can be used in any space of an interior. `

At ANDREAFAY we have specialists that can help you choose the right colours and materials for your homes, office or commercial space.

ANDREAFAY is an interior designer in Muswell Hill, she writes on home improvments, interior design, travel and what’s new and HOT in interior design.

This is a great modern Innovation to how to enhance a bathroom space. This is an extraordinary wall of digital printing on ceramic tiles.

Loft Conversions

August 16th, 2011 Andrea Mundell-Bowen 2 comments

Transforming unused loft space into an attractive accommodation, adds size and value to your property. Your unused loft has the potential to be the most spacious and attractive room in your home whilst adding significant value to your property.

Our team at ANDREAFAY interiors and archictecural designs will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding any interior or architecual project.

Here are just a few photos to share with you for consideration if you are planning to convert your loft space into living space.

As the image above displays, having a loft conversion does not have to be for the interior, it can be an extension from the interior to create a dynamic visual.  What I find interesting about this conversion, is how the loft becomes an individual section of the structure, but still maintains a bond with the main building.

The architectural elements of the old buildings carry so much visual interest that they become the design of the home or at least a very strong design inspiration.

Luxury Interiors & Home Furnishings.

October 28th, 2010 Andrea Mundell-Bowen 1 comment

When I think about luxury interior and furnishings, I think of high end exquisite fabrics, textures, details, colours and materials. These elements can work together to make a space look classy, chic and sophisticated.

Having a home full of expensive furniture and ornaments can make you feel precious and important, it is fundamental to have a functional space for entertainment or relaxation but we still should be comfortable in our own surrounding. Some people may buy luxurious items because of its expensive price tag others as a show piece; I don’t think we all are materialistic, we like to appreciate the craftmanship behind each creation. Luxurious items are different in standard and quality, the care and attention to detail that has gone into each items makes it more durable and lush.

I will show you some different type of furnishing and interiors but all have the notion of luxury.

 Chinchilla FauxFur Stripe Throw

The chinchilla faux fur throw: is considered to have the softest fur in the world it’s also incredibly warm.  As this modern faux fur holds a variety of colours, it complements a whole host of colour scheme, which includes blacks, white, earthy and bold tones. It can be used as a throw over the bed, sofa or as a decorative wall hanging.

Charles ll style mirror

The Charles II style mirror captures Edwardian gothic style, an exquisite piece of novelty to have as a centre piece.

Cushions, drapes and curtains create comfort, depth, warmth and privacy

Victorian bedroom wardrobe: this dark wood wardrobe is beautifully crafted, but be careful with large dark interiors try to maintain a balance, you would not want your bedroom to feel small and unsettling.

Dining room with glass table and chairs: sometimes keeping it simple captures the beauty in luxury, break up the theme with small ornaments and furnishing. With a room that’s capturing a lot of natural light it’s essential to have some natural elements, colour and texture to balance the deco.

And finally

I find furniture designer Roberto Ventura designs fabulous. New designs with classical influence gives his furnitures character. Each individual piece is captivating,  the detailing of the patterns, straight lines and curves on each furniture has a story to tell.  The rich bold upholstery makes each creation stand proud, on its own in a living room or in a reception it will be the focus of everyone’s desires.

What’s Hot!

The Hyacinth Lamp

The Hyacinth Lamp

This is a lamp I came across on my project in Atlanta, GA. for a new Show Home I am designing for my clients in the USA.

It is the new design by Bunny Williams for her BeeLine Home collection. I really like them as they are elegant and also quite simple.

Made of wood embossed to look like shagreen or searay’s skin, with small nickle feet to rest on.

ANDREAFAY INTERIOR DESIGN Ltd. is based in North London, England and writes abouts what’s HOT in interior design and her travels in order to find new and exciting ideas and products.
