It's starts with A Desk and A Chair

It's starts with A Desk and A Chair

Nowadays, it seems as though everyone is getting into the work – at – home thing . . .  it’s the ” in thing” now as many people are getting laid off and loosing their jobs. To secure yourself from loosing another job in this climate many beople are setting up home offices or small offices and becoming self employed. .

Well it’s one thing to make that decision and quite another to create a workplace that’s just right for you and you home. A home office can be anywhere in the house as long as it has privacy and protection from the rest of the home including the spouce, children or even the animals.

In the cupboard is the not a bad idea as it can be closed off at the end on the day.

For a small home office you may just need some cupboard space to create a cozy and organized room to start.

A wall shelf  unit that is placed in your lounge, living room, or even the hall way is a great idea if you have no young childern running around. A very creative idea for a home office space.

A desk, a chair and some boxes one the wall is all you need!

Early Spring is the time to convert your loft space to office space. It’s soooo cool to have your home office in the loft, it’s a perfect area to work in.

Painted and Vinyl Stairs Can Be So Much Fun!

August 20th, 2011 Andrea Mundell-Bowen No comments

I just love the idea of painted stairs and want to share some photos of painted stairs with you, well chosen colours and hues can add elegance, style, lightness, vibrancy or subtleness , contrast or co-ordination to interior decoration.

Cohesiveness can be easily achieved with relatively lower cost than other floor coverings like carpets or laminated floors and they can be a lot of fun as well and looks great when are well done. Here are a few I have found for you to enjoy.

KITCHENS

August 18th, 2011 Andrea Mundell-Bowen No comments

Kitchen, designed by Bontempi Omnia

We all know kitchen is referred the heart of a home. The new approach to a modern kitchen these days are to have a sleek surface and minimalist cupboards. This Kitchen designed by Bontempi Omnia, would be a fabulous area to entertain your guest, but a space such as this would only suit you if you are a couple or a small family.

Manufactured by majestic-gemstone.com, using selective raw material to create a custom made slab for a decorative interior feature.

This Kitchen is a great solution for a small interior space.

each individual component can be separated and then pushed together, which creates a single unit. This creates additional free space for the interior.

Enhance your interior space using tiles created by Okhyo, using digital printing on ceramic tiles. I love the additional spark which can be brought into the kitchen. This tiled mural image can be personalized according to your preferences and can be used in any space of an interior. `

At ANDREAFAY we have specialists that can help you choose the right colours and materials for your homes, office or commercial space.

ANDREAFAY is an interior designer in Muswell Hill, she writes on home improvments, interior design, travel and what’s new and HOT in interior design.
