As the image above displays, having a loft conversion does not have to be for the interior, it can be an extension from the interior to create a dynamic visual.  What I find interesting about this conversion, is how the loft becomes an individual section of the structure, but still maintains a bond with the main building.

I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me . . .  Remember That Song?

Windows are never complete without curtains, shutters or window blinds, imagine having a window without curtains, shutters or blinds?

Don’t you feel very bare, and the room looks plain or naked? Yes, you know what I mean, you feel someone outside is watching you and that’s not a comfortable feeling at all. I think that window dressings are very important when it comes to the complete look of your room so here are some tips on how to find the best window dressings for you.

First, you have to consider the shape of the room and the deco the room has. How do you want your windows to serve its purpose? You could go with curtains if you have a large enough room or blinds or shutters for a smaller or mid size room, or even just a blind and a swag thrown across. If you are looking for something that gives privacy inside your home, then you should get blinds that are non-transparent and these can also be used with curtains. If you want your window dressings to control the lighting, a more transparent dressing like Muslin or Voiles are recommended.

The next step would be to decide the shape of your window and the style you need to compliment your room.
